Popular singer-songwriter Lady Gaga fell victim to a hackers' group that broke into her United Kingdom website and stole her fans' data from the site.
Swag Security, the group that also attacked the site of singer-songwriter Amy Winehouse, posted an expletive-laced statement against the artist after the hack.
But the main and UK websites of Lady Gaga, Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta in real life, appeared normal as of 5 a.m. Sunday (in Manila).
In its profanity-filled "press release," the hacker group scored the artist for supposedlybashing gays.
UK-based news site Mirror reported Lady Gaga called in police after thousands of her fans’ personal details were stolen from her website.
It quoted a source as saying the artist was "upset and hopes police get to the bottom of how this was allowed to happen."
