Yesterday June 15,2011, many have observed a TOTAL LUNAR ECLIPSE. The first of the two eclipses  this year. The next TOTAL LUNAR ECLIPSE will be expected to occur on December 10, 2011.

This was a rare phenomenon wherein the central point of the Earths shadow passes across the moon. On July 16, 2000, it was the last time that TOTAL LUNAR ECLIPSE appeared and recorded to be closer on Earth shadow. If you've missed this event last night, the next central TOTAL LUNAR ECLIPSE will be on July 27, 2018.
